Abstract

The Internet of Things (IoT) connects the objects of the present reality world with the virtual world, thus enabling anytime, anyplace, and not just for anybody. It refers to a world where physical articles and creatures, and also virtual information and situations, all communicate with each other in the same space and time. As IoV is one of the key components of IoT, which interconnects people inside and outsie of vehicles, on board intelligent systems of vehicles, and a variety of cyber - physical systems enables various services to the vehicles and people on board and outside vehicles. The safety, efficiency, infotainment, and comfort-related information can be exchanged easily from one vehicles to another vehicles and infrastructures by using vehicular adhoc networks (VANETs).
